The National Initiatives survey has successfully launched

Cecilie Maagaard Winther

On the 20th of November, the National Initiatives survey was officially launched from the EOSC-Nordic project.

The National Initiatives survey aims to map and analyse national and thematic initiatives on open research data policies and identify services that may contribute to the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud.

The survey is part of the policy-making process, and as such the goal is to collect data from stakeholders in the Nordic and Baltic countries to assist in the making of the EOSC policy. The policy will later be decided by the national representatives in the EOSC Governance Board. The National Initiatives survey is seeking information about organizations’ point of view as a whole. It is aimed at both universities, research funders and policy makers in order to learn about expectations, willingness and preparedness to participate in creating and using the European Open Science Cloud at Nordic, Baltic and European level.

The results of this survey will be presented to decision makers within the EOSC.

The survey was launched in collaboration with the other regional EOSC projects, EOSC-Pillar and NI4OS-Europe, in order to provide an overview of the European landscape and provide information to the EOSC Working Groups.

If you are interested in answering the survey please contact Saara Kontro (CSC) or Per-Olov Hammargren (SNIC) at saara.kontro@csc.fi or per-olov.hammargren@it.uu.se.

Originally the deadline for answering was on the 29th of November, but the survey has been extended, so that the deadline is now on the 9th  of December.
